Strawmulching blows a stream of chopped straw/hay through a mist of polymer or bitumous binder to a depth of 15mm to 30mm onto an area to be revegetated.
• The binder tacks the straw thatch together giving added protection against storm and tempest.
• Seed and fertiliser are sown separately via a hydroseeder or by a more conventional method using a tractor and seed drill or spinner broardcaster.
• The straw thatch also provides greater moisture retention than Hydromulching there fore is more effective in the drier and arid areas.
